For this video-performance, I decided to explore the object Cadeira Sonora (Sound Chair), that is, I used the chair as an instrument for the creation of a choreography. The interaction between performer and object intends to recreate a musical instrument whose sounds would be manipulated by three musicians. I chose a video of my own to be projected on stage at the same time as the performance takes place. In the edition of this video work, I chose to use the repetition of several planes-sequence, de-contextualizing the images themselves, being the final result a composition of fragments of the video itself. Just as the choreography of the sound chair is composed of several repetitions of actions, the performance consists of a repetition of minimalist movements around the chair, with the projection of the aforementioned video as a backdrop.
