The piece Interpelar o Tempo (2010) consists of a set of four videos in which the notion of temporality is approached: Time (2,06``), Cisnemático (4,52``), Tempo de Formiga (3,46``) and Interpelar o Tempo (2,53``). The first is a short duration video, with a fixed plan, without sound, where time is manipulated through a numbering from 0 to 9, referring to an infinite count of an imaginary clock, where time slides. The numbers suggest a passage of time, like the counting done by a clock that marks this passage. The speed variations between the numbers originate new sequences, making the infinite possible combinations perceptible, and perhaps a recognition of a failed attempt to control time. The different rhythms provoke several metamorphoses in the numbers, making them abstract objects. The repetition and the rhythmic variation, imposed to the numbers through editing, are mechanisms used to portray the symbolism present in the video, causing a direct influence on the notion of perceived time: chronological time, between personal (abstract) time and khronos.
